The Giving Circle Scholarship

Instructions

The Giving Circle Scholarship 2020 Instructions: 

​

  1. Deadline for the Scholarship submission is JULY 15, 2020.

  2. Applicants must provide all complete and necessary documents to designated School Administrator, Scholarship Counselor or Organization Representative prior to deadline.  Submissions received directly from students will not be reviewed or considered for award.  

  3. Each student application with supporting documentation must be submitted by the School Administrator, Scholarship Counselor or Organization Representatives in ONE EMAIL to TheGivingCircleScholarship@gmail.com.  Incomplete and/or multiple emails received for the same student will not be considered for award.

  4. Questions regarding the application or submission process can be emailed through our Contact Us form or via email to TheGivingCircleScholarship@gmail.com PRIOR to submission.  Duplicate or incomplete submissions will not be reviewed or considered for award.

  5. ALL submissions must be typed.  Handwritten submissions will not be reviewed or considered for award.

  6. School Administrator, Scholarship Counselor or Organization Representative and Applicant will be notified by email upon receipt of completed application and the final decision regarding the scholarship award.

Timeline 

July 15th:       Applications and supporting documentation are due in ONE email submission.

August 7th:    Applicants are notified if awarded the Scholarship.

August 10th:  Awarded recipient must officially accept the Scholarship.

Application Process   
Scholarship applicants must provide the below documentation by July 15th:

​

  • Completed Application (incomplete applications will not be reviewed or considered for award)

  • Short essay (800 - 1000 words)

  • Official High School Transcript

  • Signed Administrator Form

  • One Letter of Academic Reference (extra reference letters received will be discarded)

  • One Letter of Personal Reference (extra reference letters received will be discarded)

  • Official Acceptance Letter from a College or University

Short Essay 
In 800-1000 words, you will address the following:

​

1.    Explain how completing your undergraduate degree can help benefit others.
2.    What life events and future aspirations are motivating you to attend college?
3.    Write about a time when you were placed in a challenging situation in your life. What made the situation difficult to manage? How did you overcome the challenge?

​

The essay should be typed, and saved in either .pdf, .doc or .docx format. The essay must be submitted with ALL supporting documentation to your School Administrator, Scholarship Director or Organization Representative for emailing to TheGivingCircleScholarship@gmail.comEmail submissions received from students or previously described school officials after JULY 15, 2020 will not be reviewed or considered for award.

Scholarship Disbursement Process 
Awarded student must complete verification form which grants access to the Giving Circle Scholarship Fund to academic and financial aid records, along with verifying enrollment and enrollment status. 


Award amounts will be distributed after each semester once all compliance is confirmed.  The first disbursement of the award will be given once verification has been received and reflects the information by the guidelines of the Scholarship.

AFTER JULY 15, 2020 WILL NOT BE REVIEWED OR CONSIDERED FOR AWARD.
